Hi folks! I’ve added a new item on the right column for registering yet another user account. This one would allow you to post comments on articles you see written here.

Unfortunately, I did this a little backwards… If I had done this earlier, you could have used the same account in both the comments and the picture gallery. As it stands, if you already have a user account for the picture gallery, I can’t map it back this way. Oh well, live and learn…

2006 Louisville Labor Day Parade

September 4, 2006

Today the town of Louisville celebrated Labor Day with a parade through downtown Louisville. The parade went down Main Street and ended at the new park. We were able to walk to the parade since it is so close to the Nakasatos’ home. The parade started at 10:00 AM and included marching bands, motorcycle and car clubs, and other organizations. It was a beautiful day, with the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky! By 11:45, everyone headed to the Louisville park to enjoy food and live entertainment. Check out the pics in the gallery!

One Year of Marital Bliss!

Sushi Tora!

Today we celebrated our one year anniversary! We were already worn out from shopping all day, so instead of getting dolled up and going to a fancy French restaurant, we went to our new favorite sushi restaurant, Sushi Tora in Boulder! The sushi, as well as the service, was excellent. We got to know the sushi chefs (always make friends with the sushi chefs) and even got a picture with one of them! Check it out in the gallery.

2006 Louisville Dog Parade

Kate and Casey!

Every year during the Labor Day weekend, the city of Louisville puts on a 3 day fair. It gets kicked off with a dog parade, which happened to be at the new park a block away from the Nakasatos. The theme this year was a jungle theme, with a contest for the most original costume. I can’t remember what the prize was…

Here is Kate walking with Casey in the parade. There was a cold front that came in from Washington and dropped the temperature to the 60s, so that’s why everyone is bundled up. Normally the weather is nice and warm. Anyway, check out the pics in the gallery!

Website redesign

September 2, 2006

As you can see the website has been redesigned. I’m pretty sure this design is here to stay for a while, so hope you like it! Also, I know people will constantly be asking us, “How’s the weather there?” Especially when winter starts to hit. So I’ve conveniently placed a weather status on the right. Check it out!

On Easy Street

 Easy Street Beer

I didn’t know this before we moved here, but Colorado has the most breweries/micro-breweries than any other state in the US! Ah yes, beer, sushi, Korean food, and 300 days of sunshine a year (more than Hawaii or Florida). I think I have found my paradise…

My latest favorite beer is from a micro-brewery called Easy Street and it’s their wheat beer. For those that don’t drink beer, wheat beers have more wheat in them (of course) and are usually unfiltered, which produces a cloudy looking beer. They are often called “Hefeweizen” and are commonly served with lemon wedges, but I prefer mine without lemon. This particular beer is light, crisp, and very tasty. Here’s more info on wheat beers:

We usually get it from a shop called Superior Liquor (they are a liquor store located in Superior, the town we will be living in) and they have a HUGE selection of alcohol. They also have a “mix-and-match” section, where you can create your own six-pack among many different choices of beer and other bottled alcohol. Sweeeet.
